Wormwood is grown as an ornamental plant and is used as an ingredient in the spirit absinthe as well as some other alcoholic drinks.
An ornamental shrub which makes lovely hedge-like border though Wormwood should not be planted near other plants as it tends to dominate the space around it.
A poultice of Wormwood tea is said to help irritations, sprains and bruises. Dried leaves placed in pet’s bedding is said to deter fleas.
